Integrated Power Thinking

Human beings think in metaphors and analog models. They tell stories to explain other concepts and use mental pictures to gain a better understanding.

When dealing with challenges or achievements in your life, “picturing” what you want rather than writing down the words will have greater impact and help you achieve the result quicker.

Picture your overall goal and "see" as many of the steps as you can. The more effort you put into gaining a clear picture the easier it will be to take action.

Take action each day to reach that destination. Small steps, taken every day reap big rewards over time.

If you say you cannot do this; you’re right. It’s probably too much hard thinking to do for most people. The majority will always remain stuck in the rut they are in now.

This idea is only for the top 20% of people who are ready to break free of the boring rut, make decisions on what they want, and go for it consistently.

Which camp are you in?

How Steps For Pets Won My Business

Recently, I needed a new condo for my 2-cats. I went to the store and felt that value was not there for the condos they offered.

So I went online. There were TONS of people selling cat condo, in all price ranges. But only one made the offer of - "If you have questions, email us 7-days a week.

So I did."How long will it take to get a cat condo to AZ?"

A short time later, Jim Douglas of Steps for Pets wrote back saying 3 to 4 days after the order is placed. "Order by Sunday and you'll have it by the end of the week."

He closed the deal with that message. I ordered and he confirmed. On top of that, Jim donates a portion of each sale to the animal rescue group of your choice.

Great client care and cause-related marketing makes Steps for Pets a winner. Check them out at

Conscious or Unconscious

Why did you start your small business? It was probably to break out of routine rut of a
J O B.

Now that you broke free, how do you go about your day? Are you on auto pilot, doing the same routine day in and day out, whether it works or not?

To break free you have realize that you’re stuck. This is called being conscious.

Many people never admit that they are in a rut. As a result they stay there. This is called being unconscious.

When you live in a conscious state of mind, you are able to identify problems easily. It’s like you can see the future based on your observations of all that surrounds you today.

The same can be said for your talents and passions in life and business.

The conscious approach is to:

  • Spot your greatest talent
  • Understand the advantages of it fully
  • See the value that can be created to enhance the lives of others
  • Use that strength as your sales and marketing message to build (or extend) a business that you’ll love every day of your life.

The unconscious approach would be to keep going through the same routine; offering the same thing you always have and expect a different result.
